The Resting Point of the Year

Winter Solstice and the turn of the season

As the sun comes to a stop, we stop too. With yoga practices, journalling and circle we’ll relax and gather poise, as the year poises. We’ll feel into the sensation of the still point, and the wisdom that can flow there, to have it with us in days to come.

Wisdom songs are sung in the final days of advent leading to Christmas.

O sounding Song whose depth is sounding me,

O Memory of time, reminding me,

My Ground of Being, always grounding me,

Come, hidden Wisdom, come with all you bring,

Come to me now, disguised as everything.

from O Sapientia, Malcolm Guite

I was feeling very disconnected from myself. Today I feel so much more grounded and reconnected with the universe. I love that we all felt like a little family and the energy built up was truly empowering. Cannot say thank you enough. D, Cullompton

I have just been on another beautiful retreat day at Viveka Gardens. Fiona creates a safe space and guides the day in a sensitive, empowering way. I have come away restored, calm and ready to embrace new things. The food is also absolutely gorgeous. Thank you Fiona. Becca, Black Dog

I booked a quiet day at Viveka Gardens so I could prioritise myself and find time for peace and contemplation. Viveka is a special place: so restorative and peaceful. Fiona was warm and compassionate and made me feel so cared for. The yoga was nourishing, and the food was superb. I left feeling rested, loved and restored. I’ll definitely be booking again, and I’m keen to try more yoga nidra Emma, North Tawton
