Here’s me

This year I turned 60 and like many women I’ve been through a number of transitions – into motherhood, out of a long-term relationship, becoming an empty-nester, end of a career and a vocation, peri-menopause, bereavement, big disappointment…and now embracing elderhood. I’ve been through a lot. I know what it’s like to feel at a dead end and sit with that.

This is why I can help you

I LOVE transition! Change is painful but the time between the old to the new can be the most fertile. When coaching came to my aid, I updated a workplace mentoring qualification to an Advanced Diploma in Life and Business Coaching in 2017. I have trained with Cruse and serve on their bereavement support helpline. As a long-time yoga practitioner and teacher I bring knowledge on the body-mind connection and practices for peace. As a holder of retreats at my retreat place in Devon, Viveka Gardens, I have hospitality in my veins: I can hold a safe space for you to explore.

This is how I will help you

Through radical listening, reflecting and questions we explore your issues and ideas.  As appropriate, we use gentle breathwork and short meditations to slow the mind. Some sessions might involve easy somatic yoga moves and/or yoga nidra to move out of the busy pre-frontal cortex into intuitive parts of your body-mind, to bring fresh insight. With journalling techniques and classic coaching tools, you’ll drill down for greater clarity and self-knowledge.

Life is too short to bumble through wondering. Family and friends may support you, but they may not see the true you that is waiting to be expressed.  Quite often they want you to stay the same. Growth is our birthright. Is it time to grow more into your true, authentic self?

Via zoom or in person we work in batches of four sessions usually at fortnightly intervals.

Progress and momentum

We’ll establish an arc of outcome for the work together – held in a spirit of curiosity.

We’ll agree on goals as ways of creative exploration between sessions.

Over the arc of the sessions we’ll take time to evaluate and celebrate the process. Yay!
