Who is training for?
The service is for all levels of experience and knowledge. Training can be 1-1, for couples, families or groups.
How does it work?
We meet in your garden and complete practical tasks together. We bring learning materials and suggest links or books. Sessions are enjoyable and allow you to focus creatively on what you want to achieve.
Training is likely to complement a design option that you have taken up with Viveka Gardens, though it can equally well be arranged independently. We also provide a vouchers if you wish to give training as a gift.
Timing
We work in sets of three sessions. A good number to get going is two sets (ie six sessions), and over a first year you may want three sets (nine sessions) to cover the seasons. Some example bespoke training plans:
Jan/Feb/March plan and get sowing crops
April/May/June maintain and begin to harvest
July/Aug/Sep harvest and sow again for autumn production
April/May/June staking and maintaining
Sep/Oct/Nov managing shrubs and planting bulbs
Jan/Feb/March planning and sowing annuals
Nov selection, planting, winter pruning
April managing growth
June summer pruning and care
Sep planting up for autumn and winter display
Feb, spring
June, summer
