Pregnancy Yoga with Chantal Allen

I’m very happy to announce that Chantal will be teaching an antenatal class at Viveka Gardens on Mondays, 9.30 – 11.oo. There is a shortage of pregnancy yoga in Mid Devon and Chantal is an able teacher and mother herself.

Escape to the tranquil Viveka Gardens and immerse yourself into a morning of body and breath work preparing you for birth, playing with sound to connect you with baby and ending with deep relaxation (yoga nidra).

Chantal has been practising yoga for 13 years, her passion began at the age of 18 and has been a part of her life ever since. It was the profound effect it had on her during her difficult teenage years and the tools it gave her to deal with her challenges that inspired her to want to teach Yoga and share this ancient wisdom with others. This led her to travel to Rishikesh in India in 2010 where she studied the Satyananda Saraswati style of yoga.

Since becoming a mother of two boys she began a new journey in womb yoga and Bhakti which led her to train in antenatal yoga with Janine Hurley, and sexuality and creativity yoga with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli.

Her classes are a mixture of hatha yoga, vinyassa and womb yoga.

Chantal practises yoga and meditation daily, focusing mainly on Bhakti (devotional) yoga, her ultimate goal is to inspire, empower, and awaken as many woman as she can using the power of the goddess.

She has taught on surf & sea kayaking retreats as a guide & yoga teacher in Morocco & Cornwall. She also runs raw food & Cacao Workshops.

She has been practising Vipassana meditation since 2010 and is also a qualified Reiki & massage therapist.
