April 6 – 9 Retreat for Yoga Teachers and Trainees

Currently, Feb 2021, there is a pencil list of people who would like to attend, one of the four places free at the moment. If you are interested at all, please let me add your name to the list, as it may be that plans change in the current climate, and places free up. As soon as the government say that both hospitality and gyms can open, we can make concrete plans. We follow government rules and guidance, update risk assessments and take care to safeguard all our health. Please go to Terms & Conditions for important information about rights and responsibilities at this time

A warm welcome to Viveka Gardens Yoga Farm retreat for Yoga Teachers and Trainee Teachers.

There is room for FOUR plus Fiona. Please see the accommodation page for more info.

An opportunity to practice the ashram day, take a turn at teaching or leading a workshop, take part in co-mentorship, relax with your peers, gain spiritual nourishment and recharge. As we’ll be sharing good practice you can add it to your continuing professional development. If you’re a beginner teacher, rusty or for some reason have lost confidence, then this stay will support you. If you’re experienced you’ll get fresh input and the chance to maybe try out a new offering.

This retreat is at a reduced price to reflect we’ll be sharing the teaching and mucking in to maintain our container and mini-community. The schedule, approach and ethos is based on the ashram tradition; teachers from all schools and approaches are more than welcome in a spirit of sharing.

Be prepared to teach a class or lead a workshop and to join the karma yoga rota for cooking and cleaning, ashram-style. It’ll be a very light load with everyone involved. In line with Viveka Gardens USP, there is also the option to do some work in the garden: harvesting and last sowings for winter kales and leaves.

Details

Arrival from 2pm on Tues 6th and departure 1.00-ish on Friday. Retreat finishes in time for a visit to the beach, walk on Dartmoor or early return home. Anyone who would like to arrive a couple of days earlier for karma yoga is MOST welcome!  There will be garden work and house chores to do.

There is space for two each in the Bliss Barn and in the Santosha Loft, meaning 1 bathroom between 2. Guidance will be given on keeping the shared space safe and your cooperation here is understood.

Some comments from 2019’s teacher and trainee teacher retreats at Viveka Gardens Yoga Farm

‘Loved the Teacher Retreat! Thank you Fiona Sundari Law for this chance to share our teachings and soak up each others knowledge. This combined with the beautiful surroundings, the delicious vegan cooking, time to reflect and just ‘be’ and having ‘new friends’ to bounce ideas off made it the perfect recipe. Highly recommended for inspiration, nourishment and a little glow.’ Gina Hayes, Sunshine Yoga, Totnes

‘I was very much in need of a recharge, on a multitude of levels and coming on this Yoga teachers retreat has been a real joy and pleasure, I feel like I have got some bounce back. Its been needed time for “being” after too much busyness doing! Peaceful, lovely simple space; nourishing, supportive, comfortable surroundings, nice beds, nice nutrient-dense vegan food made with love and care. I thoroughly enjoyed that we all got to offer a class workshop to the group and learnt and shared in a non-judgement and supportive environment. Nice being in a small but varied group of teachers, from Newbies to highly experienced and long-standing teachers.🙏🏻 Thank YOU Fiona Sundari Law huge hugs with much gratitude X’ Susannah Nelson, Body Mind Unwind in the Midlands
